Drab to Fab! Bentwood chair makeover

I bought three little chairs at a thrift shop not long ago, they all kinda looked alike but each were just a bit different, 2 of them had bright orange padded chair seats...Honestly they were UUUUGGGLY!! But I knew they just needed a little somethin somethin to make em look Fabulous!
Two of them I had already painted before thinkin of takin a pic, but here is one of them without paint, the other two were just a little bit bigger and had seats that I could recover..I decided to paint them and cover them in faux fur, I think they would make the cutest chair to sit in a girls room with a cute painted vanity..
I used Rustoleums Ultra cover, in Lagoon Satin, I luv this color paired with purple..I know crazy, right?!
I guess I just refuse to grow up, even if the wrinkles on my face say it is time...:o)

Don't let the ugly green carpet scare ya away!
Apparently it's the last thing on my hubbys
to do list...But he's still a keeper!

I used the monster fur that I have for my Etsy shop
Who doesn't luv some fluffy furry monster fur??

I painted an ugly gold mirror in the same Lagoon color

WOW! We grew that??!!!

Me and my husband always plant a garden each year, I'm not a big Veggie eater, but you can't beat fresh tomatoes and greenbeans..The best greenbean ever is GreasyGrit!! This year my mother-in-law gave us some Strawberry plants, I've never tried growing them and I really didn't know what to expect, but wow am I glad we did... We went out checking the progress of our garden and here is what we found!

I had No clue Strawberries ripened by the end of May
Doesn't that make you want a bite?
And yes they were as good as they look!
Will definately plant more next year!

Homemade chalk paint and birds and branches chest

Ok I know there are tons of dressers and furniture out there with birds on them..But I really adore them and I wanted to do it on this cute little chest I picked up for practically nothing on CL..I don't have any before photos of it, other than after I had already started painting it with the drawers out..But this is how it turned out, I do also want to distress it just a little bit, but not too much, I painted it with homemade chalk paint in a SW creamy white, and sealed it with a clear wax..I left most of the little marks and dings on the dresser because I think it shows the life and maybe love this dresser had all through its life, it shows its Character.. I'm not sure how old the dresser is, but I know its old..Also all the locks on the drawers work too, I have a skeleton key to my old curio cabinet and it fits it perfectly..
Although I've refinished and painted furniture for years and years to decorate my home, i'm new at this blog thing and really don't know where to start..I have sold some of my furniture through the years, but haven't really made a business out of it..And like I said in my profile, my husband finally relented and told me that I could continue with my obsession of picking up and collecting old furniture, as long as when I brought a new piece in and couldn't find a place for it, he wants me to sell it..:o) I agreed! But I had my fingers crossed behind my back..:o)
I will continue to look at other blogs and try to learn how to do the linky parties, if anyone has suggestions please feel free to tell me...I don't mind being told what to do..Really!
