One Chair Two Makeovers

This chair has had two different makeovers, LOL, It's an old 70's chair maybe older, but I love the curve of the arms, I got it at the thrift store for just a couple of bucks, and since it was such a sturdy chair, I decided to give it a makeover, here it is before its makeover in all its ugliness!!

And here it is with its first makeover, painted all black, I liked this one
but I wanted to change it up, also I've had this chair for quite awhile and
I just wanted to see what it would look like painted Aqua and distressed to show
the black, I also but brand new Zebra material back on it so it would look new again

And here is the Aqua distressed makeover, with brand new zebra material on it
To be honest, I like the black better...LOL...But since it's already freshly painted and
new material on it, I think I will just take it to my booth at the Peddlers Mall..

Birds on branches and wooden stools

Found these two boring wood stools and wanted to do something to them to
Make them look FABULOUS! First I used a bird stencil
so both would come out looking alike, then I freehanded
the branches on, I then painted them in a creamy white, then rubbed
them down in a dark walnut stain, I still didn't like them, so took some white
paint and added some glaze and whitewashed them, still didn't do it for me, then
I took some sandpaper and distressed them until some of the first coat of white
showed through, VIOLA, that did it for me, I really like how they turned out, kinda
hard to see all the details in the pic but they really look great..

WLYS Worlds longest garage sales on St. Rt.127

So did anyone else go to the 127 yard sales this past weekend? I went, but was kinda broke
so I only took 50 dollars with me...:o(
I thought it would be a major letdown since I didn't have much money, but to my surprise, and my
husbands disappointment, I was able to get a few very good pieces of furniture to re-do and I cannot
wait to get started!!
Of course the hubby growled and said, "Where you gonna put these?" I said, "I'm gonna paint em and sell em"..He don't believe me, he thinks I will keep em..I can't say I didn't have that thought runnin round my brain when I bought them...

Especially this one, it is actually an old sewing machine table with the sewing machine still in it, and it works!!! But I luv the sexy legs on it..It is definitely a keeper, but I will try real hard to let it go once I am done with it..

And this cutie patootie little chair, would be so cute dressed up with girly pink cushions..

I would luv to see what other people got at the garage sales!!
Have a great day!!
